just a quick update on what i've done yesterday and today and what i'm going to do tomorrow. haven't done full lists but i have been baking like crazy - dd and ds are having joint birthday party on saturday (dd's birthday was last week and ds's birthday is next week) and i need to feed around 50 teenagers:eek:

so what you see underneath is what i've done and for friday what will be done. from next week i want to really start on the 'hidden' stuff, for instance the coats cupboard has been on the lists a couple of times for me now and i haven't even tried to clear in there yet:p but at least the visible stuff has been noticed by my mum she commented on how nice it is to come in here now:T

hope everyone is well - i'm going to catch up on some of the thread and then i'm off to bed

  • :T:T:T I've done it!!! I've finally go the oven door clean :T:T:T :j:j:j:j:j

Whoever it was that suggested using a blade of some sort deserves a medal - I couldn't find a proper bladey thing so used a knife (desperate times!), I think I've scratched the door glass but to be honest I don't really care. It was absolutely thick with grease and grime - DH who has always been in charge of cleaning  as I work full time and he didn't for a long time - reckons he hasn't cleaned it in 4.5 years!

The cooker is now sparkling (well I need to have another go inside the oven but the steam cleaner does pretty well in there!), I've washed down most of the cupboards and most of the work surfaces, still got loads to do in there but it feels like I've achieved something this week so thanks very much all for the encouragement and support :j

Good job too, I spoke to the Landlady today and she wants to bring the Agent round next week to do details so that she can try to re-let  Oh well, they'll get what they get, I can't perform miracles, I am worried about being ready for four weeks time so I can't do much about the pigsty by the beginning of next week.

  • Caught up today with the list, due to car accident last week didn't manage anything. Moving the Dyson around today was v.painful.

Managed to dust the living room and hoover
    Hoover the stairs
    Dust and hoover my bedroom

Then very achy afterwards and had to rest for a long time, hence the massive ebay list below. Have left the washing up until the morning so not completely organised yet!

Only the bathroom left for tomorrow and the dreaded floor mop in the kitchen and bathroom.
Posted an ebay parcel off to buyer and listed another 17 items  leaving an A5 page full of written up items to go on still over the next few weeks

I'm taking on board how much having a daily list is helping me keep on top of things more than before, so much so I am looking for a book or folder at the weekend to keep this going
