  • Hi all

I've been really busy all week. The house isn't in bad shape, needs a few HHCs to knock it into submission, but other than that it's fine. I keep thinking, I'll whizz through that room, and get it done, but it keeps not happening!

Ahh well, finally learnt how to ebay... so got my first listing on today :j :j :j :j

ETA: I kept meaning to say Carlsbergal I didn't see your post, but, oh goodness me, I'm forever getting too forthright about things I shouldn't comment on.... I think everyone just knows I'm a gobby cow now!! :rotfl: The flip side is, that sometimes people get offended by something when you don't mean anything, or even realise there could be anything to be offended by IYSWIM !!! that's happened to a few of us, I remember Toots being very upset by someone who'd taken offence at something completely innocent she'd said. What can you do? There's no pleasing all the people all the time. SO... I'm REALLY glad you decided to carry on posting. (((HUGS)))

I have no idea what to do for tea. ~~~~~~wanders off to check fridge for inspiration.

    See you all later

    Evening all :hello:

    Good Luck Lady Liberty

Hugs to all those with bad news.. haven't been able to catch up properly :o

    Natty68
    - Belated birthday wishes:o

Hex - Thats what I did with my hair about 18 months ago and the only thing I regret about it was getting it dyed basically black at the same time - I'm still trying to grow it out in some places  Hopefully with my next haircut it should be gone..;) But I love having mine short, I just need to decide whether to leave it my natural colour (which is ash blonde and looks VERY grey some days:eek: ) or colour it again. I almost purchased a purple haircolour but thought the school might have something to say about that :o:rotfl::rotfl:

DD is back on solid food :D:j She sat and ate a load of fresh fruit last night (pineapple, watermelon, blackberries, blueberries & strawberries - Asda made a fortune out of me yesterday  ) and today after initially crying in pain when she woke up she's polished off a bowl of soggy frosties, a tin of shrek spaghetti shapes (more money spent in Asda yesterday!!!) and a bun :D:rotfl: She's asked for KFC and salad for tea so things are definetely improving :D If it wasn't for the rash/swollen tonsils & the developing cough I'd say she was fine so the penicillen must be working. Just pity that at around 8.30pm she starts going down hill again

Not much flying here today, washing up, putting clean laundry away and making beds but I've been doing maths with DD who's mental math skills astonunded me this morning -
    A beef burger = £2
    A cheese burger = £2
    Pizza Slice = £1

Shakur goes out to buy a beef burger, a cheese burger and two slices of pizza. How much change would he get from £10?
All done in her head with NO mistakes  She's 7 and worked it out faster than me!:eek:

soappie - thanks for the traffic info! I do listen to the radio in the mornings, but as I'm rushing around the house I tend to find I miss most of the useful stuff! Hope you get to work and back safely.

That's why I have an old fashioned battery operated analogue radio that I carry around with wherever I go in the morning - it even comes to the bathroom with me!

Embb - big hugs on the loss of little Poppy

Pigpen - well done on the cheque!

Rach - glad you're feeling a bit better

Reasonable journey too and from work today but the office was freezing. Spent most of the morning wearing my coat!

Off to potter with the flying - thing's are quite up together at the moment so there's not a lot to do...

    Good luck Lady Liberty

Congrats on the haircut hex - it'll take a while to get used to, but I'm sure you'll love it with time.

Just getting ready to leave the office. We've done our cake sale, which raised £260 (some of them took a trolley round this afternoon once the local market had been exhausted!).

    See you all later...

Just popping in to say very best wishes to Lady-Liberty for tomorrow!

Hugs to embb - I cried for hours over each of the children's guinea pigs...

greenbee - That is a great amount of fundraising - well done!

I'll be back flying tomorrow. Busy day today, but I was stopped by the deputy head on my way out, and he asked me to see him after half term, as they want to offer me a contract if I want it! I'm feeling quite proud of myself...after such a long career break, I wasn't at all sure that I'd actually get a job. I'm very happy doing supply, but it's lovely to be asked to have a proper job!!
