    Hi ferreira,

Do you have any financial interest in your boyfriend's car? In other words is your name on the log book or are you named as being responsible for any payments on his car? If not, then I don't think you need worry as you only drive his car.

I'm sure someone who knows more will be along soon to put you straight xx

The form asks "have you use of a car" this is to allow a money in your SOA if you contribute to petrol etc so the receiver can work out what you spend

if the car is registered to your BF then it'll not be touched it will be fine...as mot said your Bf wont be hassled

Yes pretty sure that if it's your BF's car and registered in his name and he paid for it then you won't have any problems. I think that question is typically aimed at people who have a car - if they can use someone else's, it pretty much prevents their own vehicle from being exempt from the bankruptcy.

    Hi Ferreira10 and welcome.

Don't worry about the car. If it belongs to your boyfriend there is nothing the OR can do with it. Have you phoned any of the debt charities?

How much do you owe? Is it credit cards etc? Give us a bit of information so we can reassure you. There really is nothing to be scared of.

If your boyfriend bought and paid for the car it cannot be taken. You can out it on the forms in the section marked 'do you have use of a car belonging to someone else' then you can include petrol, mot, insurance in your outgoings.

As long as he bought it it will not cause him any trouble.

So you owe too much to benefit from the new Debt Relief Order so Bankruptcy is probably your best option.

I would suggest you make an appointment with a specialist debt advisor at your local CAB office - make sure you ask for a specialist debt advisor though.

Let us know if you have any other questions and like I said there is really nothing to be scared of. We've all been through it and come out okay!
