Hi
Can anyone help me, I am making chicken in a stroganoff sauce, and bought an asda jar of sauce, its been cooking for 30 mins in the oven and it tastes awful! Its really acidy and tastes of vinegar, can anyone make any suggestions how I can get rid of this vinegar sauce - what can I put in it to make it taste better
Thanks in anticipation!

How much longer does it have to cook? Vinegar tends to lessen the longer it cooked. All comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Its got another 20 minutes, I've added some sugar to see if it helps. Im thinking of taking the chicken out and cooking it seperately, at least we might be able to eat some of it.Waddle you do eh?0

does it have a lid on? if so take it off so the vinegar can evaporate, then leave it how long it says and check again, stuff quite often tastes a bit off before it's properly cookedAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

A little bit of mustard in the sauce might disguise the flavour, also some double cream perhaps if you have some in the fridge.0
