Pardon my ignorance, but how much extra would I have to pay, if at the moment I have the standard six mix thingy? Think it's £21 at the moment, so what would that be with the multiroom lite added? Thanks....0

You'd pay what you are paying now plus an extra £5 or just under a month, if you have an old sky box they can connect that up for you. This was advertised some months ago in our area as we are due to be switched over this year, although I did have an awful job to get the CS to believe me it was a genuine offer, in the end I had to scan the leaflet and email it to them as they knew nothing about it.
Also multiroom has to be connected to a phone line0 -
I've just rung and can confirm it's available to people who are in an area due to change over to digital soon, but you must be on the 6 mix package without Movies or Sport - I added back the News mix (only cancelled it last week!) to get Multiroom Lite - an overall saving of about £4 a month after the extra £1 for the News mix.
The person I spoke to had never heard of Multiroom Lite before but was able to get the details and change my subscription.
An update - I now have the news mix added to my subscription (because Sky C.S. told me I had to in order to qualify for Multiroom Lite) and I'm still paying £9.75 a month for Multiroom. Sky C.S. are completely incapable of resolving.
Plan B : Pull the floorboards up as originally planned, install Sky magic eye, co-axial cable etc and cancel Multiroom completely.
Result : Get a bit mucky in the process but end up saving of £9.75 a month and just one more call to make to Sky C.S. to cancel Multiroom.0 -
The multiroom lite started out as a offer for the digital switch over & because it has became public knowledge they are now giving it to all customers who have the 6 mix. It seems that they are not giving it to customers with sports/movies as the system they use cant seem to apply the offer, if you have any of the premiums however & you only have half the movies there is a 3 month movies upgrade to full movies at no extra cost. You can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.0

It was called Multiroom Lite as in "lite user" - thus those with the full sky package pay more for the fact that they have all the channels and those with just a premium package pay less.
We got the offer here some months ago as we are in a switchover area. Went for sky + box at £49 and our old box on a second tv. Was supposed to pay for installation, but got messed around in the same way as a previous poster because no-one knew anything about the deal even on the number given in the leaflet so they installed for free:D
No more arguments about who wants to watch what from the kids.........they just argue over who is going to watch in the sitting room, and who will have to go into the less comfy dining room:rolleyes: "there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Tried calling Sky 3 times now and still can't get them to apply multiroom lite. They have told me that its just for the West Country and I am in Bedfordshire.
If anybody has it or is not in the right area then please could you let me know which number you dialed and which options you pressed so I get through to the right department.
Thanks very much0 -
