Hi. I'm in some trouble at work, which I don't feel I can talk about. What would I do to appeal dismissal? What would I write in my letter?
Thanks for any advice

Its hard to give any advice really without more info, but I would say you have to do it as soon as possible after the disciplinary meeting, and outline clearly the reasons why you are appealing/disagreeing with their decisions, and back these statements up with evidence to support why they should uphold your appeal, if you can?0

Thanks for the advice. I can back up my claims, but I don't think they will believe or listen to me. I mean I have never been in trouble before, but they seem adamant to get rid of me. All problems started when I made a complaint about a superior, in confidence. After the complaint I noticed a difference in behavior of this superior.
It has been obvious that he has been after me and looking for anything to get me sacked. He has lodged countless complaints against me. Which previously I have had no complaints about me. It seems that the Management are also in on this. Sorry about the lack of specifics.
I have 5 days to appeal. I have this feeling it will go to tribunal, which I don't want.0 -
How long have you worked there for?0

I've worked there for about two years. My superior is in pretty tight with Management also. They go out on the town together.
I told my workmates about the situation and they were all shocked.0 -
So you do have the ability to go to tribunal then, but unless its a breach of a statutory right or a wages claim, you would have to have left the job. Although there is a lot of info here, it may be worth looking at these weblinks...

You're welcome, hope you get it sorted. If you want to talk it through with someone, then there is an Acas Helpline on 08457 47 47 47 from 8-6 mon-fri but they are really busy and you will have to hold for a while but its worth trying first thing in the mornings if you are able? They can give you good independant advice
Enjoy all the reading;) Fore-warned is fore-armed and all that

PS - If you think it will end up at a tribunal then make sure you put your appeal in, in writing, you then have to wait up to 28days for an employer response. You have to have done this before you can bring a claim0
