making DMP overpayments?

I'm hoping to increase the amount I'm paying on my DMP, however I was advised against it by CCCS counsellor as they said unless it's a regular increase I can commit to (it's more little moneysaving things to add up eg NSDs) then not to do it as the creditors have to keep re-agreeing payments etc.
Is there a way around this? I was thinking if I saved the money off to pay an entire debt off each time... then the money that's currently in DMP can be redivided more permanently?

Hi
As CCCS say, it's best not to make random extra amounts as creditors can get nasty and expect it all the time. I've got the T shirt!
Save the extra money and then you will be in a position to make full and final settlements.
Exactly as you say, if you clear off a debt, the money will be re-distributed so therefore your existing creditors will be receiving more.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I agree its what I am planning on doing. Open an ISA and put any extra money you get (or save) in there. I get sometimes have standby pay and overtime so anytime I have that extra money it will go into the ISA and hopefully start to add up so I can make full and final settlements."You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger
