Have just cooked 30 odd snack-size cornish pasties. My baking trays are past their best so i covered them with greaseproof paper (which I greased). The pasties have all stuck and if I try to get them off the bottom bit of pastry stays on the greasproof paper!!
Am I better to prise them off now when they're still hot or are they more likely to survive if I let them cool down?

I'd recommend leaving to cool down. Moving them whilst hot/ warm doesn't seem to be working. May reduce the disaster. Good luck.I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0

yes let them cool then less chance of the filling falling out to!0

Thanks - left them to go completely cold (actually left them for longer than intended due to falling asleep - oops) and managed to peel most of them off with hardly any mishaps!!xxx Nikki xxx0

Just cover them with gravy, nobody will notice! We've all done it.....;)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

For future reference i reccomend baking parchment, which looks like greasproof paper, but it is fabbbb, nothing sticks even if you dont grease it.
I get mine from Wilkinsons, its worth a try, there is nothing worse then spending time baking to have half of it left on the greaseproof paper.0
