based on the info you have provided it works like this
earning to date up to period 10 = 7158
tax free allowance = 6039 x10 /12 = 5032.5
so tax to date will be charged at 20% on 2125 = £425.1
which seems correct0 -
I have checked these figures and they look fine to me.
Your gross for month 10 was £1092.00 which if you put that into the tax checker at
http://www.listentotaxman.com/index.php?c=1&yr=2008&age=0&add=0&code=603L&pension=0&time=12&ingr=1092&vw%5B%5D=yr&vw%5B%5D=mth&vw%5B%5D=wk
you get tax of £117.90 and NI of £70.07 which is about what you paid. I have assumed you are paying NI at the full not contracted out rate of 11% on earnings above the threshold.
There are often a few pence difference in tax and NI figures due to slight variations in the way they are worked out.
Your gross to month 10 is £7158 less tax allowance to month 10 of £5032.50 gives taxable pay of £2125.74 on which you pay 20% tax which is £425.15.
This is near as makes no difference to what you have paid.0 -
ok thanks its just these calculators that i have been on have been confusing me abit0
