Free Software for Apple Macs

Hey,
I did do a search and couldn't find anything... but I found this site who are run by apple software developers. It seems that when you register you have to complete a few challenges, which took me a bit of thinking! As the reward you get a piece of software that would normally cost you quite a bit for a license free...
At the minute there's only one challenge but you automatically get 2 free for signing up (Shovebox & Romantic Templates)... The piece of software (which I wont say in case it ruins the surprise) is quite good and handy and I think it's quite a fun site....

If you run a Mac. then VersionTracker is a good source of free / share and trial
OS X software in almost any catagory or class you can think of.

If you don't fancy working through the challenges, then you can read the unofficial MacHeist wiki - http://mhwiki.channelblue.net/wiki/Main_Page - which offers walk-throughs and hints on the challenges. (Which I think are good fun, so I'd recommend doing them!)
The official MacHeist page also has forums where you can ask for help/read the discussion of the apps/challenges.
[update] The challenges are not for those who suppress their inner nerd!0
