I'm trying to find a salt pig or salt chest for my kitchen at reasonable money. Does anyone know where I can get one?
I did see them last year in the fair trade shop, but they don't have them this year.
Lakeland do them, but I object to paying £4 p&p on such a small iem >:(
Any ideas I'd be grateful

You mean you can't get a Lakeland order to over £45 for the free p&p? ??? ;DLakeland do them, but I object to paying £4 p&p on such a small iem >:(

Don't know how small a salt pig is - never heard of one! - but wonder whether if you phoned them and explained your reluctance they would send it out for less just this once? Agreement on the five staff board is that their CS is SUPERB!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Nigella Lawson has one in her range. You can usually find the range at John Lewis, Debenhams etc.
I think it's a bit expensive though, about £18. Think that's a bit much for what it is, but it looks nice

I found one in the NIgella range locally. It's very big and very expensive. Would look totally out of place in my kitchen. I only want a small terracotta type one. :-/0

Just had an email back from maldon Salt Company. I was enquiring about where I could buy Maldon salt in NI. They had a gorgeous salt pig in the pictures so I asked where I could get one, this is the reply:You are able to purchase the Salt pigs from Friars Pottery who are located
in Maldon, Essex. Please contact them on 01621 840798.
No idea how much these will be, but they look expensive. Think I'll just go with the one from Lakeland instead!0
