am I a taxpayer?

this might seem like a really stupid question... but.. I am a mature student, single parent and I work part time. I never earn enough to take me over the tax threshold. Does this mean I am a non taxpayer and can get the R85 form ? or not?
I love this site! :j

If your totoal gross earnings including interest on savings and most benefits is likely to be less than 4745 during a tax year, then you are a non tax payer.

If your in any doubt, then its best to pay tax, and do the sums at the end of the tax year and claim the overpaid tax back using form R40.
