    Morning all :D
VW - thats awful, my dh had his van broken into last year outside our house, they took his chainsaws etc - they even took the shovel !?!?! makes you feel so angry and unsafe!

Gert - i can understand why you're worried, my dd is 2 (going on 22!) and when she gets a strop on anyone would think we're killing her she really screams like shes being hurt!!! also its very soul destroying when she gets like that and really gets us both down so maybe that would explain why he didnt say much when you mentioned the baby? i'm not saying that is definitely the case, it does sound funny that theres alot of shouting, but some kids are really vocal and make things sound worse than they are :)

Would really love a win today, would cheer me up on this horrible rainy day, haven't had a win for a while :(

It must be really hard with three of them, mines 2 and half and I think shouting is pretty pointless to be honest, she is still to young to underst and when she does play up its usually for a bit of attention. Been having a better responce with the distraction method.

If the shouting got really bad I would probley bang on the wall, making her aware someone is listening might be enough to calm the shouting down..

My neigbours were killing each other one day, i could hear the young woman being hit by her father and her mother was screaming, (he is a top doctor and a near by hospital) It got so bad I called the police, I was banging on the walls and shouted to them that Iam calling the police. I was crying my eyes out to hear a womens screams as she was getting beatern was so aufull, my oh knocked on there door but they wouldnt answer.

Morning everyone I hope we are all ok today.

Carp journey in this morning... very slow and people doing stupid things at junctions. Argh!! Then it started sleeting as I was walking from the carpark to the office and I forgot my brolly. Boo.

All these tails of stealing and shouting and hitting are scary! I hope it all stops... can't believe how some people think that is all ok! Did the police come round Juliepink? Gert, I reckon saying something is a good idea.

I had a quick read of last night's conversation... added a couple of you inc Topsy to my twitter list, feel free to add me too (my boring life in 160 character updates!!)! Really loving the pet pics!!! :)

Right, will be a secret comper today but also need to do some copywriting. Off to the naughty step I go!

I really hope you all get in anyway.

  • Gert - if it's mainly the mum screaming at them then that isn't right, juliepink's idea of banging the wall is good at least she'll know you can hear her and might stop her from doing it?

I find shouting doesn't help either (even though sometimes you really wanna scream at the top of your voice!) it makes things worse! i talk really calmly and quietly and sometimes, not always, she'll stop screaming to try and hear what i'm saying!! distraction method also good :) she is certainly not doing it as much as she used to, maybe its because shes coming to the end of her 2's :j

Got in late after family history meeting last night and by the time I'd caught up at the Inn had downed a large whisky+coke and thought better of posting.....:o

However, brain and fingers now in (almost) total harmony.

SOD (((big hugs)))- was hoping yesterday would go okay for you, so sorry to hear that they're all being such useless !!!!!s - looks like a case of they want to cover themselves but don't actually want to stick their head above the parapet either - so are attacking you instead of doing their job and hoping you give it up. All because one 'expert' thinks something - and couldn't ever possibly be wrong - or even if he suspects he is he can't admit it. Don't give up - it might seem like nothing's moving in your direction but there'll come a time when your little one will be old enough to understand everything you're going through now to try and keep her safe (and exactly what and who has been preventing you from being together). There's a line in a song makes me think about you "what's worth the prize is always worth the fight". Hope you're logging EVERYTHING that's going on with this - you might not need it - but then again you might.

Have been following the Australian fires - OH's best friend from school lives in Victoria (married an Oz girl) - fortunately looks like the fires have missed their bit. How on earth can anyone deliberately set fires knowing what devastation it can cause  - there are people there that have only just escaped with their lives - and nothing else, everything they owned just gone in a matter of minutes.... and so many people dead....if ever there was a crime that called for the death penalty I think its arson like this.

p.s. love the pet pics - keep 'em coming.....:D

I can't believe some of those fires have been started deliberately. Some people are just sick. My naiveity comes out again... how can people be like that?!

    Morning all

Can I just go AAARRRRGGGHHHHH and thank goodness I have the house to myself now.

Honestly, my lot would fall to pieces if I was not here, they would not have a clue.

I got up at 6.30 with dd1, dh and other two girls get up at 7.40 after me telling them loads of times to get out of bed. By this time I had done packed lunches, ironed dh a shirt for work, made the kids brekkie ready for getting out of bed and put the bin out.

DH - gets up and says "did you make me a cuppa & can you find me some socks"

DD1 - have you washed my pe kit
me - did you put it in the wash basket
    DD1 - no
    me - well it's a good job I did, it's washed & ironed.
DD1 - ok, do you know where my pe bag is

DD2 - "my breakfast is cold" - this is after I had told her I was about to make breakfast and then telling her breaksfast was ready.

So I am going to have a cuppa and enjoy the peace & quiet of nobody shouting "MUUUUUUUUMMMMMMM" or "Kerri can you ......
