Just had a call from Joan's daughter in law to say they are releasing her today. They say her problem was a trapped nerve. I suppose that's possible but we'll be keeping a very close eye on her. Joan is 83, lives alone and has all sorts of other health problems. I'm sure that Jan will suggest that she stays with her for a few days but Joan is one of those who doesn't want to be beholden to her children, unlike me. I fully intend to be a burden to my children.

I openned my computer case just to have a look for why it was whining so much. It was filthy inside. I took a paint brush to it and gave it a good seeing to. Now it's virtually silent and it still works :rotfl:

WE SIT AND TYPE,

AND STARE AT OUR SCREENS

WE ALL HAVE TO WONDER,

WHAT IT POSSIBLY MEANS.

WITH OUR MOUSE WE ROAM,

THROUGH THE ROOM'S IN A MAZE

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING OR SOMEONE'

AS WE SIT IN A DAZE.

WE CHAT WITH EACH OTHER,

WE TYPE ALL OUR WOE'S

SMALL GROUPS WE DO FORM,

AND GANG UP ON OUR FOES.

WE GIVE KISSES AND HUGS,

AND SOMETIMES FLIRT

IN IM'S WE CHAT DEEPLY,

AND REVEAL WHY WE HURT.

WE DO FORM FRIEND'S,

BUT WHY WE DONT KNOW

BUT SOME OF THESE FRIENDSHIPS,

WILL FLOURISH AND GROW.

WHY IS IT ON SCREEN,

WE CAN BE BOLD

TELLING OUR SECRETS,

THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD.

WHY IS IT WE SHARE,

THE THOUGHTS IN OUR MIND

WITH THOSE WE CANT SEE,

AS THOUGH WE ARE BLIND.

THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE,

IT IS AS CLEAR AS A BELL.

WE ALL HAVE PROBLEMS,

AND NEED SOMEONE TO TELL.

WE CANT TELL REAL PEOPLE,

BUT TELL SOMEONE WE MUST

SO WE TURN TO THE `PUTER`

AND THOSE WE CAN TRUST.

EVEN THOUGH IT IS CRAZY,

THE TRUTH STILL REMAINS.

THEY ARE FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES,

not having the best of days with lo, he was playing with the dishes, normally fine with that as i keep an eye on him, but this time he had overflowed the sink and used up all my fairy liquid!

then he spilled his soup all over his seat and was dripping onto carpet:eek: kids!!

Mmm decided to go for a home made 'pot noodle' - medium egg noodles cooked in stock, minced beef peas and sweetcorn - it's fab and I'm gobbling it down like mad!!!

No daffs, crocus or anything like that here snidely. Got a lot of work to do on my garden this year, really want to get it looking nice but think a plough might be a good place to start! Love roses and have lots of roses bushes which are budding. Trouble is my rabbits love them!!

well I just won £3 from 40p on a pub quiz machine. I figure that's the closest I'll get today to a win but hey, it paid for lunch - yummy! I also feel good as I helped a friend cheer up early when she was down - lovely feeling
