So sorry you're feeling so ill mamzie. You really need (easier said than done I know!) to rest up as much as possible. Tonsilitus is so horrible, when I get it, it knocks me right off my feet like its done to you.

Try to rest as much as poss. Have you got antibiotics?

luckily dh is home because of his ribs still, but men and knowing which bag is which doesn't work here.

kids are gone for gym lessons now for 3 hrs, so back in bed again.

I actually thought I was gonna pass out.

dr in Butlins gave me pencillian 500mg 4 times a day. I never realised how rough this could make you feel through.

Will def be more sympathic to kids when they say earache or tonsils again. So tired and icky.

Just the once , while we were still hanging face down at the end of the ride ... oh the shame! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That's why I only managed to go on 3 times.

As soon as we arrived on Saturday, we made the mistake of going on Spinball Whizzer first followed by Hex, which is completely bizarre:

Riders gradually experience an odd sense of movement, even though nothing in the vault appears to be moving - with one bench feeling as if they're being pulled away from the branch and the other feeling as if they're being pushed towards the branch. This is achieved though two mechanisms - the separate floor can move in a controlled swing from side-to-side by up to 15 degrees in each direction, but the surroundings of the vault can rotate through a full 360 degrees. The pivot mechanism for the floor is hidden by the Earl's machine at one end of the room and a large cabinet-like structure at the other. At this point, both the floor and the vault are slowly moving in unison. As the ride continues, the floor starts a separate movement from the vault which gradually gives the impression that the room is rotating backwards and forwards further each time. The lighting subtly changes from moment to moment to add to the disorientation. Eventually, the vault mechanism turns through a full rotation and, by careful synchronisation with the floor mechanism, the riders can feel as if they themselves are being repeatedly turned upside down.

and left me with a headache and a dodgy feeling stomach. I didn't eat because I was afraid I'd be sick and made sure I left it a while before going on Air for the first time. It was OK but when we went on in again later it was all a bit too much, :rotfl: I was sick in the car on the way back to the hotel too :rolleyes: and didn't feel right all evening.

I was back to normal on Sunday though, so decided to brave Air again and enjoyed it but decided not to push my luck by going on again and spoiling the rest of the day! :rotfl: Still had a great time though, I was happy to see the kids happy - eldest was screaming in excitement at it all. Still haven't told my mother that he went on Air 7 times! :rotfl:
