  • We're having chicken gougons, rustic chips & beans for tea. DD's out at her friends party so just the 3 of us here & it's really quiet.

I've been clearing out my kitchen cupboards, got 2 & 1/2 bin bags of junk for charity shop!!!!!! Did the girls clothes other week so slowly getting through the house now.

The missus had a declutter phase a while ago and she would insist on involving me. Well I say involve. It was more a case of her saying "You don't want this do you?" It wasn't really a question though. More of a statement :rotfl::rotfl:and another book went into a bin liner and then to a Charity Shop Somehow my bookshelves are still full though. How does that work? We have never ever had enough shelves.

I insisted on keeping my Christmas socks though even though they are full of holes. I think she should darn them like my Mum used to.

I have no idea what the unpleasantness on the forum was but I suspect someone was taking advantage of the amazing cameraderie and empathy for other's misfortune that so many of you show on this board. Long may that attutude continue. It's so sad when someone doesn't have that in their "real" lives and have to resort to subterfuge and deception for whatever reason
