Just the way it goes - it's the same with tickets, where you are lucky if you get more than a day's notice (I've had four hours...).

Anyway, just posted a comp for the DVD of a film that was first released in 2000.

With magazines: they are basically a month out of date when they appear on the shelves, so that's one point.

Another is that PR companies can get things very late to pass on as comp prizes from the company that wants to market them - often because they weren't used elsewhere, got caught up in the system, or because they are surplus. You could probably come up with a few reasons yourself.

Comps are very cheap advertising and marketing methods, and can be low on the priority list when promoting a product.

I have loads of guilty crushes that i have been teased about endlessly!!
