I have a lovely laminate in my living room quick step 4 groove in dark oak, then there's a door which leads to my smallish galley kitchen -the floor is dark grey matt porcelain tiles (large rectangular ones). The kitchen leads into the playroom/dining room/conservatory (there's no door) which is a standard extension.
Wanted to put B &Q floormaster tile loc laminate which looks like cream travertine in the extension. I want a light airy feel to this room but also practicality for its function as a dining area and play area. The kitchen cabinets are cream gloss.
However not sure about having different flooring in each room. I defo don't want the dark tiles in the extension but what about the same quick step as the living room? Quick step is a superb product and I sometimes think Ive got a solid wood floor. Would it look better to have the same oak planks in the extension?

I'd go for the same look throughout. IMHO0

If the room is more part of the kitchen, I'd put the same floor in each. The rooms will look like they flow better I think. You could keep the lounge different though as it's a separate room.0

The kitchen tile is dark grey and cold to touch but extension is a playroom and dining room and I don't want dark floor.0
