Sky Thread - where's it gone?

Hi guys - where's the huge sky thread that discussed hagling and getting 40% off etc gone?

I can't find it for love nor money - a 'sky' search comes back with zero results.

Thanks

What did you want to know?

I recently rang Sky up and got 3 months at half price which will save me £60 over next 3 months, they also offered 25% off my package price if I committed for another 12 Months. I will try again at the end of the 3 months for another 3 months half price.
    Can but try..!!!!
  • Hi its in the shop but don't drop and its called digital tv cost cutting artical - discuss what you've been offered

  • Thanks Jen & Dave - I took up the 12 months for 25% off - £31 down from £42 seems a decent longterm deal.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

If you don't mind me asking how on earth did you get Sky to give you that offer?

I have just called them and told them that I am pretty miffed that I have been paying for their full tv package at full price for the last 4 years and I have just found out that others are recieving 50% - 25% for 12 months and why haven't I been offered anything like that and I was told in no uncertain terms the Sky tv do not have any offers and will not give me anything at all. :(

Mind you I do think I got sent through to an Indian call centre and the line was extremely bad, any suggestions on what I should do next?

    Thanks!

Phone up and tell them you want to cancel, we did this (if they had said OK we would of had to back down). They then gave us 20% off for a year.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.
  • Thank you so much!!!!

I have just called Sky again and got a lovely Scottish woman on the phone who was so nice and helpful and I have now got a 25% discount for the next 12 months :j :j

It is going to save me well over £100 for the year :T

    Thanks again for the help

I agree Davey88. I prefer the 3 months at half price and wouldn't even consider 12 months at 25% off. We have just been sent in the 3 month offer after cancelling at the beginning of December and to be honest we haven't missed it. Thanks to this site, we have been too busy reading all these 3 for £1 magazines and watching all the latest films using the free dvd rental trials :)
