Trendy clothes for 15 year old

I was going through DD's wardrobe the other day, and it was full of ..... rubbish
.
She has loads of jeans, t-shirts and jumpers, some holiday clothes, some clothes she wore on work experience, her school uniform and a Christmas outfit.
She's about a size 6-8 and about 5' 1 - 2'' and has stopped growing.
All of her friends always look really nice and dressed up, always take time to do their hair and make-up. I feel quite bad because I loathe and detest shopping, and think that she's maybe missed out on the trendyness that other girls have had from their mum (I'm very much a jeans and t-shirt person!). I only ever buy from Next, M&S and Debenhams at the moment, but I don't think these places do the trendy stuff that girls' like.
She's away at the moment, and I'd love to surprise her with some new trendy clothes for when she comes back.
I could spend about £100 (is that enough?) She's always really grateful for whatever she gets, so would love to treat her.
Thanks for your thoughts xx

why not arrange a treat for next saturday and take her out to choose something herself?
My daughter loves river island for her clothing.0 -
Hi I am 5ft 1 and a 6-8 I get a lot of clothes from New Look online. They have loads of trendy stuff and if you type in NEWLOOK20 in the promotion box at checkout you get 20% off. You can also return the clothes to a store if they don't fit/ not suitable. I like River Island too but find it quite expensive so I buy the occasional thing from their if I love it. And I absolutely love Primark on the high street and there size 8 is normally more like a size 6. For a £100 from Primark she could get a whole outfit including shoes underwear and accessories. It's a really nice thing you are doing for your daughter. x0

15 year olds are difficult to buy for and I suppose it depends on whether you want to surprise her or have a nice day out shopping. I would suggest you take her out shopping but don't tell her how much you want to spend. I am sure she will be mature enough to not go overboard. Failing that there are a number of websites such as asos which have great selections on line.
I would agree it is a really nice thing you want to do but don't spoil it by going to Primark, better to spend £100 on something which she will love, than the same on an outfit in which she may where once but obviously it depends how fashion concious she is.
Remember money saving is not always about buying volume cheaply it;s about VFM and not all branded items are pricey (particularly now).0 -
Do you shop at Next online? They have a much bigger range than in the stores so you might find trendier items there0

Thanks for your responses, I really appreciate your ideas.
I like the idea of the New Look on-line store, one of my friends told me teens like this shop. Does anyone have any thoughts on what's fashionable at the moment - or is it basically everything they sell?0 -
was just going to add my teenager daughter loves New Look, Top Shop and River Island. New Look does have a teenage range which is great as my daughter is an adult size 6-8 and a lot of shops don't have much choice in those sizes.
have to say at that age, fashion is pretty disposable.x x x0 -
Pretty much everything new look sell is fashionable, and they do teen sizes, which still fit me and I am a size 8, and are a bit cheaper

It might be better to get her vouchers for some where so you know that she will like what she gets, and that way she can try it on aswell.
I am 17 so this is from a teenagers point of view
Hope that helps.0 -
The Disco (skinny jeans) on New Look website are really nice. I have a pair and they do them in a 28" leg which is great for shorter people like myself and your daughter. You can wear them with flat ballet pumps or tucked into boots. They are only £20. I just noticed aswell at the moment if you spend over £35 on the new look site you get an additional £5 off.0
