Jobseekers allowance problem?

Hi Guys,

I made a new claim for jobseekers allowance on the 21/01/09, whilst I was waiting for it to go through I secured a 2 month temporary job. However I received a letter through this morning from the Jobcentre explaining I must send in through my girlfriends student grant forms and etc...........I am abit lost what to do now because I have a job and dont they owe me for the 3 weeks I havent been working??

Can you help, I look forward to your replies.

Many Thanks
Bromarc

  • Hi bromarc,

If you've applied for JSA and you are entitled to it then you will get it for the period that you were out of work. I would send the documents that the're asking for anyhow as this will form part of your claim.

Good Luck with the job! :)
