Correct height for pull up bar

Hi,
Please does anyone know how high I should put my shiny new pull up bar - relative to my height.
I've googled, but I can only find average heights - which seem to me to be more suitable to tall men, but nothing like "your height plus 6 inches" or "your arms fully extended but not locked"
