Query on listing bank overdrafts

Can you tell im finishing off the forms for hubby and I today, sorry for all the questions!! :o

With regards to bank overdrafts, do these just get listed in the bank account section or do I put them down as an unsecured creditor as well?

You put all unsecured debt down on the unsecured section(4),then repeat them where it asks for cc or bank accounts(section 5).Dx

  • I listed mine as a unsecured creditor as well as in the bank section as a minus amount in the balance
  • Thanks, thats helps alot :)
  • With regards the date incurred, do you list when you first got the bank account, or when you got the current OD, my overdraft keept on being increased.

Mine was the same dave, I just put the first date I was offered an overdraft even though it was a lot smaller than the one I ended up with!

  • Thanks will do the same, did you also list your bank card in "5.1 Do you have any cheque cards, cash dispenser cards, credit or charge cards, debit cards, etc?" as my bank car is a cheque, cash, debit card?

I can believe it, I didn't ask for my first overdraft - they just let me know in a letter that I had a £1k facility - I didn't use it for a year and it was downhill from then on...... grrr
The other bad one was Vanquis.... I started off with £250 which was fine, only for emergencies and ended up with £2k less than 2 yrs later. The interest was unbelievable! :o

It doesn't really matter when you got the overdraft but you do need to put something down on the forms - even if you make it up.
