Query re: average wage question on forms

My hubby can bring home different amounts of overtime some months. The question asks for the average amount, do I put what he brings home normally without overtime or do I just enter his last wage slip amount?

Take the last 3 months and average it out. The OR normally asks for the last 3 mths wage slips so you need to include it,as he may think you are trying to hide something if you put normal wages then send lots of slips all with overtime on;) .DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

I took the last 12 and averaged it out as I knew that there were at least 2 months where I couldn't work so it would work in my favour in theory.
Unfortunately I've now got to supply the last 3 months wage slips which include a £450 xmas bonus so I hope my OR doesn't think it looks sussMoney, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -
I was going to ask the same kind of thing....
Before Xmas I was getting overtime pretty much as I wanted it but now I've been told thats it NO MORE OVERTIME. But when I go bankrupt and put down my monthly wage which will be £1500 the OR will see wage slips with £1700, £1950, £2200 based on the last 3. The end of this month will be my basic 1500 which is fine but next month I get an annual bonus which will see me clear in total £2000 - £3500. But then as of the end of April and forever after it'll be £1500.
Are these the kind of things you can put to the OR?
Do they not just pick an amount that you earn and if you go over that amount then you have to pay a certain % to your creditors for 3 years?
I'm trying to stay positive but each new day seems to bring more questions which have me frightened at whats lying ahead.0 -
Hubby is in the same position, he did 40 hours of overtime in December which gave us an extra £400, we will explain this to the OR when we speak to him hopefully.0

Me too. I had 10 months of flat pay and the last two with bonus. (a rarity). What do I do?"What does not kill you makes you stronger"0

Hi Everyone,
I am in the same boat. I actually declared myself bankrupt in Jan because my company has imposed No Overtime and for the last two years it has made up 35% of my take home pay. My OR interview is on 16th Feb.. I have sent her the last 4 payslips which were £1700, £1500, £1600 and £1300 but... from the end of this month they will be £1100 month in/month out. I have explained this in writing and will do so again in the phone interview. I have been told that they will probably monitor the next two or three payslips before any decision is made. Obviously, I want to avoid anything set up on the basis of what I have earned up til now.

Hope it all goes well for you!!!!
Is there any way of actually speaking to an OR for some advice before going bankrupt. I just really want to make sure I'm doing the right thing in preparation for bankruptcy so I don't upset them in any way.0 -

Why an OR .... What about the CCCS Bankruptcy team?
I got very jittery about this income thing... It looks so weird that I was earning quite good money and just about making my minimum payments and then all of a sudden £450 less each month, but I have been reassured on here and I am trying to keep positive.
An IPA is an agreement and I can't agree to something which is incorrectly based so I think we will be "discussing" it.
