If you're looking for a cheap holiday for your family, then timeshare might be right up your street ... er... no.

What you get is just 10%, or 5 weeks' holiday occupancy in these flats.
Give it another 3 years and you can buy a WHOLE one for about this price I bet

I've gone over and over the blurb for this and even in good times I can't see how you would make it work. There doesn't seem to be any price differential between 5 weeks holiday occupancy in the Summer when the kids are off school and 5 weeks in January/February when it will be so cold that you wouldn't want to be there anyway. All the timeshare schemes I know of have some kind of differential pricing to cover these issues. But this one doesn't mention it, or say prices from... It wouldn't surprise me to find that they've sold the prime periods and are stuck with the rest. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've not seen the details, or enquired. I suspect there'll be a lot of niggles as I doubt it started out to be timeshare at all, so the nitty gritty won't add up.vivatifosi wrote: »I've gone over and over the blurb for this and even in good times I can't see how you would make it work. Maybe I should phone and ask.... wonder if they're there now.0 -
Right, they're not quite built, expecting them to be ready by May.
Service/management charges they won't know until next week.
You get 10 weeks/year, on a rolling basis, so no fixed weeks. The first three to be released will have a changeover day of Saturday, but others will have different days.
You own it along with 9 other mugs and it's managed. You can rent out your week if you want, or swap with others.
On balance ... it's a really !!!!!! deal. Lovely location though.
It's definitely being punted to investor mugs.0 -
Pastures you are indeed the resident detective! You're right, still sounds a sh*t dealPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I don't usually reference the term !!!!!! to any deal. ( I struggle to be polite ).
having looked at the details, though, I must concur: it's !!!!!!.
assuming 10 mugs: £320k per unit on a round-robin occupancy.
but we never know. the airport is just down the road and a few well-heeled surfers might look.
good detective work, btw. now we've lost NDG you're needed more than ever!0 -
I'd be surprised if for double that you couldn't get a whole flat somewhere in NQ . With little management charge too.0

The cheapest for years has been £100k, but there is now one tiny studio (no parking but there's a public car park just 100 yards away where you can get a residents permit) right in town at about £45k.I'd be surprised if for double that you couldn't get a whole flat somewhere in NQ . With little management charge too.
Give it 3 years there'll be a choice of places sub-£100k
To compare most directly with older stock, this one is close by at £120k

So £120k/10 punters would be £12k, for some comparison.
Although the new ones are right ON the beach, so a better position.0 -
I can do a 1 bed sea front flat for £7k.

If I lived near the sea and could get a hut for that price, I'd snap it up.SouthCoast wrote: »I can do a 1 bed sea front flat for £7k.

I love beach huts .... £7k's reasonable (if there are no other charges and it's yours for life). Keep a towel, windup radio, little primus stove down there.... marvellous.0
