how to clean red brick wall?

i removed plants (ivy and other) which was covering the out side wall of the house for years and now the red brick is exposed it looks dirty, greenish. i tried water and brush to no avail...is there any special material for this purpose...thanks

I've heard Jeyes Fluid is meant to be good at those types of jobs.There's no woman sicker than the woman who is sick on her day off !0

I also try a jet washer first. I removed a ivy I had at te back that clings onto the bricks.0

pressure washer but be careful not to damage the pointing just go easy on it!! good luck!0

i have a similar problem except its bricks in the fireplace covered in soot. obviously cant use a power hose. any suggestions0
