order still not come

i placed an order online for a folding door for my bathroom - i was to be contacted by the 4th february to be told when it would be delivered - states up to 28 days on site...

now - they have phoned today (6th - 2 days late)....to say i will now hear before the 25th as they are having some problem with stock...

aarghghgh this is annoying but i dont want to cancel the order....do you suggest waiting and then asking them for delivery costs back when i have finally received it?

is anyone else having trouble?

oh - they took the money as soon as it was paid via card - not just held in reserve so they do actually have the money...

It depends, if the stock situation is only temporary then they may arrange for a delivery next week, on the other hand it may be even longer, did Argos Direct give you any other lead time other than 28 days?

If you decide to cancel it's up to you and you can get a refund, but if you decide to keep your order to reclaim your delivery charge for inconvenience you will need to write to head office or ask to speak to a supervisor/manager at Argos Direct on the phone which is up to you but you should bear in mind that it may be a lot more energy than it's worth.
