Do you have to send the OR bank statements

Firstly, yes I'm aware of responsibilities towards informing the OR of any change in income. I'm not trying to get out of anything, I just want to know what I'm meant to do and make sure I'm as prepared as possible!

I was curious about informing the OR about things. Do they check your accounts or ask you to send bank statements to ensure your outgoing are what they say they are on your SOA or to make sure you income is as you also say on your SOA?

I would appreciate any help :).

Many thanks

Energised.

After BR no they don't tend to check bank statements at all BUT when you go BR you sign a legal undertaking that says you have to inform them within 21 days of any changes.

When your BR finishes the OR quite often gets details from HMRC of your income and tax paid etc. If there are discrepancies then you will be in trouble and your discharge could be suspended.

If and when your income goes up you just phone them or email them the details of you're new income, they'll either send you out a new IPOQ form to fill in, or just keep a note on your file.
