Hi All,
I will start from the begining on the 24th of december I started getting hounded by phone calls from iQor I had no idea who they were and I basically said I only corraspond in writing, they continued in phoning most I logged up in 1 days was 15 calls.
On the 29th of december I recieved a letter from the regarding a credit card account I know nothing about so with the great infomation on here I sent them a CCA I recieved the normal letters such as you have recieved your cca and will ask our client for the documentions to be sent to you directly so that was fine, that around 2 weeks later I recieve a letter saying this was the complaints departed and they would investigate and get back to me within 5 working days.
And that brings me to today where I receive this letter, I will write out the exact letter by hand below here goeos,
Further to our letter dated blah blah regarding the above mentioned account, we would like to confirm that our investigation into the matter is now complete.
We agree that you have no contract with our company, however, we do not write to you to enforce any alleged Rights on our own behalf. We have been instructed by our client, whom we understand to be your creditor, to contact you regarding settlement of that we understand to be an overdue and outstanding debt under a contract between the creditor and yourself.
Our records indicate that we have made our client aware of your request for a copy of your credit agreement and that we have written to you on blah blah to advise you that the account has been placed on hold.
Please be advised that should you wish anyone to stop processing data about you a Data Protection Act 1998 notice must be served to the Data Controller not the data processor and we act in this case as the Data Protection.
We confirm that Iqor Recovery Services Ltd has not registered default regarding the above-mentioned account with any credit reference agency.
We trust this matter is now resolved, however, should you be unsatisfied with the above response you may escalate your complaint further in line with your complaints procedure. Alternatively, you may contact the Financial Ombudsman Service within 6 months of the date of this letter.
Could anybody give me some advice on the above letter and what you may think this letter means.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It means they can't find a copy of your signed agreement and consequently your debt is now unenforceable.0

Hi Fatbelly, thanks for you reply.
Just with it saying they will be getting the creditor to get in touch with me now I was completely unsure what it all meant.
If there is anyone else that knows more please let me know
All advice greatly appreciated0 -

Their letter doesn't say that the creditor will be getting in touch with you from what I can see.
It says 'We have been instructed by our client, whom we understand to be your creditor, to contact you regarding settlement of that we understand to be an overdue and outstanding debt under a contract between the creditor and yourself.'
Translation - we are getting paid by XXX to harass you and generally use every underhand method available to us to try and squeeze some money out of you for some ancient account that everyone has lost the paperwork for.
Is that clearer?0 -
it is thank you.
So should I just file this matter now? or would you pursue contacting the financial ombudsman.
Thanks in advance for you reply0 -
