Hi there,
Been writing down a list of foods that the family like, and DH has asked if i could found out how to make Mushroom Alfredo, the kind you get in Frankie & Bennys.
It says on the menu that it is garlic mushrooms, with a cheese sauce, with a sprinkling of parmesan. Now ive had this dish before from Frankie & Bennys, and although it is a cheese sauce, its not very cheesy ie macaroni cheesy IYSWIM.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I'd just cook mushrooms in garlic and butter and put them in a creamy sauce made from philly (or own brand cream cheese). I use 100g of philly and 5 tbsp milk for 2 people, just chuck it in the pan with the mushrooms and keep stirring on a low heat until smooth and thick. It's nice with the garlic and herb philly and if you want it cheesier just add some grated cheese and a splash more milk. I often make this and add tuna or ham for a quick pasta meal.0

Alfredo sauce is butter, cream and parmesan. A pot of double cream and a lump (sorry, not very accurate!) of unsalted butter - heat gently and stir together until the butter is melted and the cream thickens. DO NOT BOIL!!! It only take about a minute. Stir in freshly grated parmesan and black pepper to taste.0
