Hi everyone,
as some of you may know we are in our nice new rental house now!! but now im getting worried?
Firstly, although the post is being directed, our creditors seem to have gone quiet?
No news is good news, or the calm before the storm?
secondly im worried that the lovely land lady is going to get cheesed of with us in a few months when we go BR. not sure if the OR will tell them or not.
Think im more worried about the gas and electric suppliers, is it possible they may put pre payment meters in?
I think the last week in court doing jury service has made me worried.

Whatever the case was for the jury service is nothing like BR so don't worry!
OR's are supposed to tell landlords however in practice many don't. I can't really think of anyone who has been thrown out of their rented accommodation once they were BR. Re utilities - it is possible they will put you on a prepayment meter or could ask for a deposit I suppose. Only few suppliers do this and I think only recently.
Congratulations on your house.

Calm before the storm, most definately. Dont worry it is natural as you stop paying creditors. If you have changed your number, well done, if not do it!

most landlords are reasonable, keep paying your rent on time to impress her. Most just want their money on time

Not all the time. Dont mention you are going BR

Be strong, you are not doing anything criminal. You will not go to prison. Chin up0 -
Can you put the Gas and Electric in your partners name or a family members name? I'm waiting to see what happens and I've asked my ex if she would be willing to have the accounts in her name. She hasn't said no (yet)!"What does not kill you makes you stronger"0

If you dont owe anything to the gas and electric board and you are not adding them in on you BR just change the details to your new back account as thats all i did. It got a bit tricky when we moved as the place we moved into had key meters but my fiancee's mother ut it in her name and they came and took them out.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Thanks everyone,
Didnt think of not putting the gas and electric on the creditors form, or even getting a family member to have the in their name!!
There is no BR clause in rental agreement so in 6 months, we are on a 6 month trial, we can extend for a year or two then go BR
Thanks for the replies, this board is great, better than anadin, removes stress headaches instantly0
