Hi,
As anyone purchased specs from http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk ?
A PDF format price list is available at http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/prescript.htm
Sadly they don't appear to do varifocals at present.
Any thoughts?

I purchased three pairs of glasses from them and was very impressed with both the quality of the glasses and the standard of their customer service. And, of course, the price.
Highly recommended.

If you want varifocals you might risk optical4less
Although I think you could measure your pupillary distance I am a little concerned though about the lack of a measurement to show the postion of the centre of the pupil in relation to the centre of the lens.
I'm tmepted though to try a cheap frame pair to see how it works out in practice, another idea would be to send them an old prescription pair which they could use to match the new prescription.
If you do give them a try, or if anyone else has used them for varifocals, please report back.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

I emailed them last week asking why they've stopped doing varifocals, they told me varifocals would be back on in two weeks time, so have to wait and see.0

GlassesDirect... I bought one pair..very cheap and seem
perfectly ok (for reading)
What I liked is that they are SO cheap that I didnt hesitate to bend them about so that they fitted me well....
usually if I pay £300 for a posh pair, I hesitate to bend them to fit and the optician never seems too interested in persevering for comfort!!0
