Remington hair clipper attachments

I bought a Remington hair clippers for my husband about 18 months ago. Model HC240C. Two of the attachments are now broken typically the ones he uses.Though the actual clippers are covered by a 2 year guarantee, the attachments are not covered.

Ive tried looking on their website to see if i can order replacements but cant seem to get anywhere, does anyone know anywhere else i could get them from. The 12mm and the 16mm are the ones we need.

Hia, Maybe try ringing Remington customer services or try a company like this: http://www.shavers.co.uk/sparessearch.php
I think the Argos catalogue quotes company customer services etc.

Interesting that the attachments are not covered, would have thought they would have to be fit for purpose within the 2 year period.

    Best of luck.

thank you i will take a look on the website. i dont currently have an argos book but will get one next week. If I have no joy I think I may end up having to cut my losses and buy a new one if the cost of getting replacements are nearly as dear as a new one.

No pun intended "cut my losses"(!).

One thing I just thought of you could try writing to them at their head office saying how disappointed you are with the quality/fitness for purpose and also the inability to get replacement spares for something so relatively new. Just the cost of a stamp but maybe worth a go.

    Best of luck.

yes that may be worth a try, and im sure a stamp would be cheaper than the phone calls trying to find them in the first place!
