free thomas & friends with books

hi saw a "free thomas & friends" with books advert on tv starts this weekend with daily mirror/mail.

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:

Every day this week until 17 February, there's a voucher for a free Thomas the Tank Engine book in the Daily Mirror newspaper. The voucher is redeemable at WHSmiths (not including stores at airports and stations) and Toys R Us nationwide.

If there's no store nearby where you can get the books, it's also possible to send for the whole set, which includes the 10 books/collector case. but not the toys (two toys were given away last weekend but sadly they're not available by sending off the vouchers). To get them, send off 6 of the possible 10 free Thomas vouchers with a cheque for £5.99 (address & payment details are in the paper).

What are the books?
  • SAT 7th Feb Thomas and the Jet Engine
  • SUN 8th Feb Thomas, James and the Red Balloon
  • MON 9th Feb Thomas and the Ghost Engine
  • TUES 10th Feb Gordon takes a Tumble
  • WEDS 11th Feb Percy’s Chocolate Crunch
  • THURS 12th Feb A Bad Day for Harold
  • FRI 13th Feb No Sleep for Cranky
  • SAT 14th Feb Bulgy Rides Again
  • SUN 15th Feb Emily's New Coaches
  • MON 16th Feb Toby had a Little Lamb
  • TUES 17th Feb Collector box
More Info

There's more information about this on the Mirror website.

How much is the paper?

The Mirror costs 45p on weekdays, £1 on Sundays. Therefore, if you're planning to send off for the set, it'll be cheapest to grab as many of your 6 vouchers as possible from the weekday editions.

Thanks to MoneySaver ZARA for posting this offer! This insert has been added to provide a researched explanation.

I did too, never buy papers otherwise.

I haven't heard anything either. IIRC the closing date was Feb 28th and the slip said allow 28 days for delivery after the closing date, so I guess they still have time.
