Depends on your attitude to risk and if you want to take your opinions of future interest rates into account really.

Do you like a bit of a a gamble? Do you have a bit of disposable income incase rates go up suddenly?

Thats the sort of questions a good advisor will ask you, if you can let us know on here then you will get a better response.

If your not a gambler you should make a decision on the best fix available today.
If you dont then you risk rates changing and what you have been offered may not be available.

Everyone expects rates to improve, but that doesnt mean they will.
If you go onto SVR for any length of time you are taking a gamble, albeit probably a very small one its still a gamble.

From what you said I would get into a mortgage consultants office, get the best fix available to you for the period you want and be done with it.

The market is so volitile at the moment no one can say for sure whats going to happen.

  • It depends on what happens to the Bank Rate in the future. You can only guess at the best thing to do.
