My Court day and br

Hi all,
Here is how my day went....
I left it late submitting my online forms and printing them off so I got up at 6am to click submit and print.
I had a last minute panic so started a new thread on here as I wasn't sure if I signed before I go. Anyway set off at 8.45 and stopped of at breakfast bar to to get a sausage & egg on toast very tasty.
Got the train at 9.15 and got their about 10 I walked to the court where I thought it was so I walked in and asked for insolvancy dept and was told its no longer dealt with here and given me directions to where it was. So I set off and find another court and again told its not there the guy tells the directions. Third time lucky I find the place and go in about 25 mins early and the man behind the desk says they are running late and to come back at 11 when my appointment is.
So 11am comes I wait a few mins and a women comes in takes me to another room, explains the proceedure and checks the forms and makes me swear on the bible and takes my money. She then said she will give the forms to the judge and go and wait in the waiting room but the judge might not want to see me.
I wait about 5 mins and the women came and said "the judge has requested to see you" panic set in and worry thoughts he isn't go to make me br.
I go in and he says have you sought advice I say yes and he says "well lets get this form signed then" and wishes me good luck.
I went in the waiting room and 5 mins later the lady comes out with my br order. :j
I got the train straight home and feel a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulderds.:D
Then Barclays called so I tell them the good news that I have been made br, but then the girl said Barclays will appeal against this order. I said what do you mean, she got a bit snotty then and said "like I said Barclays will appeal against this" so I just said good luck to them and put the phone down. Can they do that?
Not as scary as I thought, just waiting for the OR to call now, which natraully I am worried about.
THANKS TO EVRYONE ON THIS FORUM FOR HELP AND SUPPORT DURING THIS HELLISH TIME;)
ps sorry its a long post x

Congrats on getting through your hearing & for your handling of Barclays.
Which court did you go to that meant you had to go to 3 different locations?0 -
Hi mazzatee,
I had to go to Liverpool.
Cheers.0 -
The OR's office called me this afternoon a very nice guy called and explained what would happen, he said my car should be safe but discuss with case worker so I'll ask when he/she calls which will be in 2-3 weeks.0

Congratulations. That went well.
I've never heard of anyone appealing? What would be the point anyway, we haven't any money! Judges don't make us BR if we can pay! Barclays can't get preferential treatment.
I should forget about it. Enjoy being debt-free.

Congrats stars! Sounds like the Barclays girl didn't know her rear from her elbow

Just out of curiosity what did you put on the forms about how much your car was worth? And did you put any reason in the description for what you use it for?

sieve,
I just put down the description and value which is about £900. He said due to value and age it probably wouldn't be worth the hassel for them. hope that helps.0 -
It is funny how the people answer the phone often dont listen or understand. I told a guy from capital one when i first went BR and he said whats that mean ? you need to make a payment today..............:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

No, don't worry, they can't. Banks really beleive they are above the law, but they're no.
Well done on getting through today.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
