Speedferries-Ferrycheap-Norfolkline

Ferrycheap emailed people on Speedferries (RIP) database offering cheap, freely amendable tickets on Norfolkline crossings up to December, The freely amendable bit was hyped up to those unsure of travel dates.
I tried on may occasions in the last 2 weeks to make multiple bookings via Ferrycheap website. It always gave an error message when reaching the critical bit.
On phoning Ferrycheap (3-4 times) the excuse was that they were also having trouble making bookings, but that it was OK yesterday etc ( it wasn't, I tried) However they could make phone booking for £10 extra per crossing + card fee. I phoned Norfolkline direct, they denied any connection with F/cheap. However they would also take phone bookings which are amendable (for £20 amendment fee.) Booking this way if unsure of dates is pointless considering that the fare is £17.50.
Sorry if this dragged on a bit, my question- Has anyone had success using Ferrycheap to book online? Or does anyone know a way round this problem?

Cant answer your problem directly but you do know there is a new operator replacing speeferries? sorry ican not remember the name at the moment and i dont have access to my email where i am. Will try to find it for you later. I was very dubious about ferrycheap maybe some of it to do with them 'getting hold of the database' in this day and age if it takes so long to fix a web problem you shouldnt bother using them.:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0
