Racial discrimination?

Can someone claim they have been racially discriminated against within their workplace because they are Welsh?

If they have, I guess...0

Sorry, should have been more clear.....if someone registers a grievance on those grounds without any documented evidence of any discrimination, what is the likelihood of it standing up & going to tribunal? To clarify, the person was dismissed within 8 months of employment, so does not have qualifying service for unfair dismissal under normal circumstances and is claiming that is the real reason for dismissal.0

I wouldn't say their chances of winning were high, unless other people (that the person can name) witnessed it.
It's certainly possible to be discriminated against for being Welsh, but it's proving it that is the issue (particularly if the grievance has come as a result of the dismissal and no complaints were made prior).0
