The best farm land. Kent or the Ukraine AIUI.

Possibly NSW in Aus. I have my doubts but supposedly west of the mountains there is excellent farmland.

I thought all of Aussies farm land is starting to turn to **** after 10 years of drought, guess this years record breaking heat waves you guys have got will be making it even worse.

New Zealand is where you want if you want good farmland on the cheap - problem is its in New Zealand!

Wouldn't touch anything at all in Eastern Europe ever. Far to unstable a place throughout history never mind now.

The drought has been appalling in many parts of NSW. In most places the drought has broken this summer although far from all districts.

I don't know about Kiwishire. I understand they have good land and good rain. I don't know though.

The US$ must devalue at some point - surely someone will start selling their US$ reserves to fund an internal restructuring program. That would be the end of the US$.

There is no safe haven is there...

I'm not sure about the selling part, but I understand there may be a policy shift from China regarding purchasing of US government debt instruments that would obviously deflate the dollar rally

No you're not. Not like Aus.

8 years without a drop of rain.

Never mind whether or not to water the garden, what about brushing your teeth? Can you afford the water.....?

It's amazing talking to people in drought areas.

Absolutely, it's a crapshoot amongst Dollar, Sterling and Euro but I still reckon that Sterling is most screwed, unless the Euro actually implodes of course.

    A question of time

It is a good job they didn't have a problem with their housing market  Like what the Brits did :D

    Oh yeah.

I was listening to the local radio station and there'd been a fair bit of rain about the place.

They had a farmer on the phone who was pretty chipper and sounded happy - he won the phone in quiz and was happier still.

The woman presenter asked if the farmer had had rain. He started crying.
