Somebody told me the other day that the recession was over because the media can report on snow instead now. :)

School has been closed for four days this week and there is honestly very little snow here. Looking out of my window there's a splattering on the rooftops and it's mostly melted but splatterd on gardens. The roads and pavements are totally clear yet ridiculously I'm still not leaving the house because they're reporting Armageddon out there. I haven't left the house since Tuesday just in case. If I didn't have the kids I'd just say !!!!!! it and go shopping.

I'm so bored I can't even be bothered to get dressed. Someone make me clean my house at least, please.

I know exactly how you feel - have just mustered up the motivation to vac up but cant face the washing up - i hate washing up !At least my little un is at school (dropped off by OH on way to work ) so i will have to get dressed before 3pm

B4lls to being cheerful. Really, b4lls.

Isn't this what got "us" "in this mess"? Following what other people told us to do?

    Rebel.

It's Friday, wallow in misery, forget doing what you ought to, should do, must do. Chill out, eat bad foods and trawl the internet for doom/gloom stories while fashioning a tin foil hat at home.

My dishwasher has been in the garage since May when we moved here. The kitchen was fitted in July. Why H hasn't got it out I don't know. He sawed off a pipe at the back which does need to be replaced but if I can't even see the thing I can't order the spare part.

I've threatened to buy a new one so a big strong man can actually get one into my house for me. Maybe I'll buy a big pink Smeg one to spite him.

I've done that since Tuesday. I'm going insane now.

I'm going to attempt washing up and lunch. Wish me luck.

You need a day blowing the cobwebs away with a walk up some hills or along the coast, followed by a pie and a beer in a country pub with a proper log fire. :D

That was my plan for tomorrow when the outlook was cold and sunny (well, the coastal version since I live in Essex and hence have no hills). Now it's looking like we might just be skipping to the pub dinner part.

I don't call that 'wallowing in misery' - that's what I do most evenings, with great enjoyment, except perhaps for the tin foil hat bit :D
