Birthday pressie for 11 year old

Dear all,

This is probably the totally wrong board to post this but it seemed to be the closest after scanning all the other boards so here goes.

I need to buy a birthday pressie for my 11 year old nephew.......usually he writes a list and lets everyone know what he wants however he always knows what he is getting so this time round rather than buy him the usual WWE characters or Bionicle toys I wanted to get him a suprise pressie, dosent have to be anything major but I want him to open a pressie that for once he dosent know whats inside before he tears the paper off.

So here goes my 'ask'.......does anyone have a novel or good ideas for a slightly different pressie that I what I can get an 11 year old boy.

How much do you want to spend? My 11 year old loves the gadget-type of things on websites like https://www.iwantoneofthose.co.uk
Or maybe a 'dvd hamper', with a dvd or vouchers for blockbusters, wrapped up with a bag of popcorn, some sweets, drinks etc - everything you need for a 'cinema' night at home.

I have an 11 year old son, and he's just bought one of those flying helicopter things, it flies around the room and crashes constantly, but so far seems unbreakable. He paid around £11 from https://www.play.com.

Is he into any sports, you could get a nice pair of football boots for £30, or one of those goals for his back garden.

Does he have a ps2 or xbox or ds, you get a game for one of those....

I'll keep thinking and add some more ideas later....
