Eversheds collection card

Hello,

I received a card through the door yesterday from Eversheds (lovely organisation that they are), saying that an agent is going to visit in the next 48 hours about a debt I have with them c/o Max Recovery. Is this genuine? I admit that I have missed a couple of payments, but I am currently in talks with Payplan about possibly setting up an IVA (a seperate post about that to come). Shall I call Eversheds and tell them this in an attempt to stop the agent coming round? I don't want them to come round and for my flatmate to answer the door, as he is unaware of my situation. I'm just very worried about the whole thing.

  • Oh, and I don't know if this makes a difference, but neither Eversheds nor Max Recovery appear on my credit file - just the original creditors.
