I'm heading out too...........I've even dug out a pair of old trainers - the weather must be extreme - I dont *do* trainers!!!
Actually, I''m hoping it should be ok out there, the sun has done a marvellous job melting loads of ice. I managed to retrieve the bin from the road, one half of my driveway is ok, the other half is still icy.

Ok well, one day in belgium, our cat, Puds, didnt come home one night, not unusual. But after the 2nd night we got a bit worried. After 4 days me, oh and another couple went looking for him over the back fields andinto the woods, but nothing. WE were shouting his name and everything but nothing. We had asked neighbours and houses around the area but nothing. Anyway after the 5th day we put his bowl away. Twas quite a sad moment, the other cat Buster would come in for something to eat bemused as to why there was only one dish out. Anyway 7 or 8 days later, me and OH pulled up in the car afer a party we had been too, it was dark. I get out of the car and notice under one of the parked cars, a pair of eyes and as I got out of the car, a cat came running over to us; it was Puds! Me and OH were shouting, 'OMG its Puds, he's come back' so we let him in and ran straight into the kitchen to his bowl that wasnt there. OH started crying and I got a bit emotional too actually cause we felt guilty, so we got his bowl out and fed him. We were in shock. We phone everyone and I mean everyone because everyone was concerned about him. Anyway he came in the front room and sat down and OH noticed something wrong with his leg. There was on open wound, a big hole and pink flesh but no blood and actually now we had noticed that he wasnt walking properly and one of his front legs was all bent to buggary. So we phoned the vet and he said there was nothing he could for the leg or him maybe as he had lost a lot blood was very weak. The vet reckoned he had been shot by a farmer, the blow had knocked him out and he was probably in shock. But after 7 days lost, to have that and come back to us and live, he is my hero. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
