oooh.....flippin' heck........I decide to use up some of the Christmassy ingredients clogging up the cupboard (dark brown sugar and black treacle) and made toffee for the first time ever.......I thought it would keep OH quiet in the evenings....it's lush (and I'm not a big toffee fan).......it's just on the chewy side of soft - I need it gone rather quickly or I'll be putting the stone I've just lost back on again!

When he went to get him last Sunday, I asked him to text me as he left so I could time dinner. I got a text saying 'on my way' and he walked in 10 minutes later! He had forgotten to text until he was almost back and then didn't say 'I'm almost back to Poole' :rolleyes:

he doesn't really know about it Sal - he saw it bubbling in the pan andme pouring it into the tray........I could say it was vile or burnt and had to chuck it out.........quick, get in the car!
