Can't find the Whoopsie aisle! Any clues?

Hi peeps
New year resolution is to put into practise all the things I've picked up on here, instead of just thinking "oh, that sounds good" and then carrying on going to Sainsburys twice a week for rubbish!:o
I like Sainsburys (as I literally live 500 yards away) or Tesco, but also have an Asda and Morrisons on my way home from work.
But......
I can't find the hallowed whoopsie aisles! I have located the one for "dry" goods in Sainsburys (like squashed cereal boxes and dented tins) but never any chilled or frozen, and never anything in the others. Am I going silly? Or is there a secret portal somewhere?
:rotfl:
Any ideas of where to lurk would be much appreciated (I'm guessing the exact location will vary) - I'm in Basingstoke if there are any local folk around.
Thank you kindly
tx

It may be the case, as it is at my local, that reduced items will be dispersed throughout the store - apples with apples, ribs with ribs, baps with baps. Makes sense I suppose as it gets the saving to those who wanted the item in the first place, but makes bargain hunting so much harder.
My Tescos throws everything into four shelves...
Or you could just ask the staff?:wall:0 -
Our Sainsburys has it at the end of the chiller cabinets - they dont have much. They also have a dry goods section.
MY OH lives in Stoke and their Sainsburys has a few mixed in at the ned of the chiller and freezer cabinets and as far as I am aware no dry goods one as such, they just put them in a basket. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
My local Sainsbury's tend to mix it all around. You'll find reduced fruit with fruit, bread with bread etc and then there's a place in the chiller cabinet where all of the cold stuff goes. I think it's a case of getting to know the times that they reduce stuff though, as sometimes there'll be nothing there and other times it'll be full.
Asda is the same (near me anyway), they have special sections in each department for the reduced stuff.0 -
Anyone noticed fewer and fewer whoopsies available?? Or am I just there at the wrong times? Or have you all been there before me?0

U sed to get a lot of bargains for the freezer from asda around 1pm.
I asked the staff and they told me the times had changed. They now distrubute the stuff at ANY time through the day and 5pm.
grr,I dont usually have the energy for shopping at 5.0 -
My local tesco put all the chilled stuff in a small section at the end of one of the aisles. Sometimes it will just be one shelf of stuff all mixed in together. I find Sunday afternoons are a good bargain time.0

My local Sainsbury's has their yellow-label chilled stuff in a small section at the end (but not ON the end) of an aisle...weirdly, it always seems next to the kosher food! :P
Produce I never can seem to find (rare in Sbury's) and the dry goods are on a special rack tucked in a corner somewhere.
What I love is when they have the booze trolley!!! But haven't had one in a whiletop 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
