we applied for a cash card in our local branch he insisted on filling in a form and posting it.
3 weeks later not heard anything at all been into the branch 3 times to find out what happening not on system no promised call backs when promised very disappointing.

called the number today got foreign call centre asked to be put to branch told they do not have a phone number told him very firmly that if he did not put me through or give me the number i would insert application pack into manager or branches body politely....

put through to customer services desk same woman who always takes the message answered again politely took her name and asked to speak to a personal banker
'they are all busy'
reminded her that if the message was not passed on for a call back i would let the manager know she was unable to complete a simple task for a customer on 3 occasions in a single week lol

10 mins later fella calls back doesnt know why i had to fill in form and says pop down will do it on computer however it would help if i bring in br certificate
made apointment for 1 pm lunch
i popped in was asked if i would like a private room (declinef his generous offer)
did application on computer!!....... 5 mins later offered internet banking, connect electron, saving account (pmsl) and then i got my sort code and account number to take away.

very strange i asked him to give training to first personal banker i saw and was told he was a senior member of staff? and that this would not happen:confused:

anyhoo seems they will open them there and then if the personal banker is well versed in the art of customer satisfaction..:cool:

    Yeah i just found the same thing myself i got there indian call centre to get the branch to call me as i wanted to see a personal banker to set up the account in branch which i ensured i clarified before making an appointment as i too had done a paper application which when off to a but of people who need completely retraining in customer services.
