Hello,
Does anyone know if two people own a house, can one person take out a secured loan on the property without the other person being mentioned in the loan agreement?
Thank you

It's not a matter of wainting to.
We have a secure loan on our property which we took out to carry out extensive renovations. My partner sorted out the loan and i have noticed that my details etc are no where to be seen on the documentation. I was just wondering if this is possible? I thought that all interested parties should be mentioned on a secure loan agreement, i could be wrong though!! Just after some advice.0 -
Hi. I have previously worked for a secured loan company. As far i remember, you did need both parties to sign the documents when applying for a secured loan. If it was for an unsecured, then who ever you share the house with, will not be involved0

Hi, i went through all the papers last night.
My name is not mentioned at all on the loan agreement, but i did sign a legal charge.
Is this correct, or would my name still need to be on the actual loan agreement??0
