  • HI Doomboy. I cant help regarding your mortgage but I can help you with benefits regarding your son. Make sure you get the forms for carers allowance, if you get dla (which takes ages) you can apply for other stuff. Do you get tax credit, you must tell them if you get the dla. You can also apply for a cinema card.
I will help you along the way.
    Good luck with it all.
  • Im glad u got dla. Do not put it on any form as it doesnt count.
Have you told tax credits yet?
The only income you put on is child benefit and tax credit.

Cinema card https://www.cea.com. costs 5.50 but saves you loads.

    Thanks debtfree and getting better,
Yes it took ages to get DLA...we had to appeal....I got carers allowance and tax credits too....we also received a FACT card which is great for discounts.
Its just I hear different things about putting the DLA on BR forms...some say yes and some say no....i guess we should really as the tax credits are higher because of it....god its soo complicated

You do put all your benefits on the form and list them each individually because some will count toward IPA calculation and some won't but list them anyway.

AS for the house/secured loan you don't need to tell them anything especially if you are going BR soon. They'll find out soon enough. As said above, no need for you to waste your time and energy trying to sell it - clear your mind of it and move on!

    Hi Guys,
Found a rented house...but what do i do as far as housing benefit?....we still live in the house we are going to leave...but are worried we wont get housing ben if we just leave the house...we have not as yet been sent any letters saying they are going to reposess( we have not paid in 4 months the moeg and secured loan)....so would it look bad with the HB people...and would it delay any HB payment
