Glasgow Clarks Factory Shop closing down deals

My DH passed by the Clarks Factory shop in Argyle St, Glasgow yesterday and said it is closing down.
Three pairs of shoes for the price of one!!!!!
Does anyone know if all the factory shops are closing down or just this branch. I would go into town but now I've told all of you there'll be nothing left once I get there...:rotfl: The one at the Forge is much nearer to me, may go for a look this pm and see if its the same, will let you guys know. Could just be the Argyle St branch as some other stores like Tesco have relocated to the Trongate, I presume a hike in rent ismaking them shift/close.

Its only the Argyle Street branch. I've just been to the Forge and its the usual prices. They did have a good deal on kids rucksacks, suitable for school. Hi-tech and umbro ones which were half price for just over three quid. Mostly boys styles, there was one girly pink one left.0

Will have a look when I'm passing.

I was a bit surprised to see Tesco move from that spot, it's always really busy. Trongate is handier for me, but I wonder if it'll get the same passing trade the Argyle Street one gets.0 -
im in need of some shoes for my young ones so might make a trip through. Do you know when it is due to close?0

They don't sell kids shoes so just buy for yourself0

The tesco has moved along to the tron as supposedly tkmaxx is opening up in tescos old shop and from what i have heard they are taking over the currys digital store there too and knocking them thru into one.0

I don't know when it closes but maybe phone them first just to check. I haven't been into town yet to have a look it was just my DH said it had bargains when he walked past! Dunno if I would manage tomorrow, if I do I'll let you know if its worth making a special trip for, see if they have plenty stock in. Wouldn't want you to have a wasted journey. If you look up yell.com you'll get the phone number for them I think.0 -

I guess anything is possible, Currys having the larger new store in Jamaica Street. Do we need another TK Maxx? I went in to the other one last week for the first time and besides the odd branded kitchen item I didn't think it was all that good. Maybe it depends on what stock they have at any one time.
My friend popped into the new Tesco tonight and really didn't like it, said the shelves were too close together so you were squeezing past others, they are stocking far less what the other one did, and no alcohol what so ever apparently. Haven't been in yet myself.0 -
...I was told in the shop that they are relocating? Forgot to ask where to...might pop in today and see what they have left (if anything!!!)...0

Ah, memories - I think these two units were one originally when Woolworths was there. The tesco has moved along to the tron as supposedly tkmaxx is opening up in tescos old shop and from what i have heard they are taking over the currys digital store there too and knocking them thru into one.If money saving starts to involve irritation or frustration the fine line between thrift and greed should be examined.0
