Okay, as I've mentioned whilst getting rather upset today. My OH is being deployed this year. Neither of us is dealing with it yet because, quite frankly, we don't want to. But whilst not dealing with it I'd like to get started on sorting out some things for him to take.
Best thing I could come up with was a stuffed toy made by me that he can hug, he already hugs the pillow next to him when I'm not there so seemed logical. But I've decided on a very specific one - I want to make him a paddington bear because he's little cute and british (Which he says about me too). Problem is the patterns I've found cost quite a bit, and being unemployed currently and without a CC to buy them online anyway, I'm really stuck.
Can anyone help here? Is there a basic pattern for a bear similar I can print out and adapt?
I'm not very good with this sort of thing, the most I usually do is make my own clothes and make soft toy luma's (The stars in Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii
).
Any help would be really appreciated, I've got a few months but I want to get cracking on it ASAP to make sure it's perfect - plus it gives me a distraction when I'm feeling down about the whole deployment thing.

Hello Plushroom
I had a google for 'Paddington Bear Pattern' and came up with this link for an ordinary pattern but it IS free - not sure if it's any use to you.

Oh I hadn't seen that one, looks simple enough. And looks very much the same shape as paddington, then I'll just need to make the clothes to go on him. Thank you SO MUCH for that, made my day!The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Hmm, I never thought of knitting one...I'd have to learn how to knit first of course! (Though I've been wanting to do that for a while anyway).
